It is, but most people go about their lives in ignorant bliss, not knowing or caring what the ramifications are.
If they do not understand it, it must not exist.

Our media hypes things up way more than necassary and makes things look much worse than they really are. Yes, our economy is down right now, and yes, it has probably effected alot of people negativly, but really…..we just aren’t spending as much as we used to because the costs of living keep rising every year, while working wages remain the same.
The real estate market has been hit the hardest, and a lot of people lost there homes because of this, and things like variable interest rates, cause monthly payments to shoot way up and so on.
Most of us are on tighter spending budgets these days, probably closer to that of some European countries now, so maybe it just means that our economy is finally leveling off, like the UK’s did quite a while back. The truth of the matter is that we are just being a lot tighter with our money, unlike the past where we spent money carelessly cause we always knew that there was plenty more to be made.
Everyone will have a slightly different view, depending on thier individual financial situation, but I can bet that it looks a lot worse on tv than in real life.
    Have a good one.
