I cycled from Dublin to Wexford (aiming for Cork but injured my knee) and it was almost entirely on quiet country roads. I recommend going through the Wicklow mountains south of Dublin. Then over to Arklow and south along the coast. It was amazing!
I’ve cycled all over Ireland. Top to bottom and back again! Sorted it out myself with all the maps etc. Was great fun and stayed in Bed and breakfasts everywhere. Stayed in lots of small towns and villages. Highly recomended.
