How can I become a modern gypsy?
now, by modern gypsy, I mean I want to purchase a camper/rv/motorhome when I turn 18 and just go. I know it sounds like I have my head in the clouds, but i’m posting this question so I can get the facts, and make sure I know what I’m doing. I will finish school of course, but as soon as I do, I’m going to leave. I’ve already talked to my mom about this, she’s fine with it.
I have two years to save up enough money to purchase a used one, so I’m good about that.
I’ve always wanted to travel, and I figure I can just rent lots for a week at a time so I can sleep and do laundry stuff like that.
Now about income. I’ve heard from friends I could start a blog. I have my own laptop, and I have a webcam. I could also sell things on ebay, and I’m actually looking for other things I could do to gain money for food and gas and such. Hopefully I won’t be alone and I’ll have a friend or two there to help me. It would be kinda cool, I guess lol.
Now like I said before, I know this won’t be a picnic, but I figure I should live the way I want to. I should do what makes me happy. I don’t wanna stay in this town and work at mcdonalds for the rest of my life.
So, tips? Advice? Please let me know and don’t preach to me about anything.
Thanks :)
I live in South Louisiana lol. :)
Thank you for the advice! Good luck to you!

Tips for mousekeeping?
We are heading to WDW this weekend and staying in the Fort Wilderness Cabins. It is just two adults and we will be there 8 nights total. Do we need to tip the maid? And if so, how much should we tip for cleaning the cabin?
We’ve always camped in our motorhome, so I wasn’t even aware that you should tip a maid.
17th trip in 4 days!!!
Confused = Thanks, you’ve been a huge help
What is the best weekender motorhome/RV for Australian conditions?
My husband and I are currently researching with the intention of buying a motorhome (RV) as a weekender and for short trips (i.e. we won’t be living in it).
We want to buy a near new one.. (ie low mileage). Whatever we buy must have a toilet and shower, as well as a fixed double bed.. not just a table that becomes a bed .. and it needs to be circa 24 ft (not too pokey .. but not so long that it is hard to park in most places).
From our research to date, we are favouring the Jayco Conquest. Does anyone have any further tips or models that you think are worth looking at that fit our requirements listed above? Our budget is around ,000. Thanks in advance!
Should add.. yes, I have already attended the Brisbane Caravan and Camping Expo.. what I am asking for here is your own experience – away from the sales hype – what make/model have you found to be fantastic.. or perhaps overhyped.. and what features do you think are "must haves"

Anyone got any tips???
I am considering moving into a motorhome and traveling for the next couple of years. How does that work out?
I know lots of ppl are full time rv’ers but am not sure exactly what that means….. are you basically moving from campground to campground? parking lot to parking lot? I can’t imagine I can afford to be "sight seeing" every minute. I am also looking for tips/points on amenties and must haves. I am a woman traveling alone and have some concerns (I may join a travel club and could use your thoughts on that as well). This is my solution to a recent separation which provides me with the means and the opportunity to travel. Thoughts?? (OH…and y es, I have famiy out of state that I plan to see in the 1-2 years I am planning to stay on the road). I am not expecting this to turn into a permanent thing but who knows??
